Noorzana Azam - Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Noorzana is a Team Leader in the HR department of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. They recruited an apprentice to join the team, who undertook the Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 apprenticeship with Skills for Work.
She says, "It allows us to maintain a good service within HR as well as allowing new recruited young staff the opportunity to be exposed to different administrative tasks and work. Allowing them to understand the ethos of what it’s like to work within the NHS".
The main benefits of having an apprentice working with them are a new face, adapting to new changes which could be suggested by the Apprentice themselves, it also allows our Trust be engaging with allowing the younger population into the working environment.
When asked if she would recommend Skills for Work to others, she says "Yes I would, the tutors are always engaging and keep the manager informed along the way as well having a really good relationship with the apprentice. Overall knowledge and theory is applied preparing them for the workplace environment wherever they choose to go following this course".
