Imran Zamir - CBMDC
Imran is a Senior Finance Protection Officer working for Bradford Council. He says:
"I had a career ambition in mind to become a Senior Finance Protection Officer and was aware that I needed to develop myself. The apprenticeship was the most practical way to expand my knowledge and skill set to reach my goal.
The most rewarding part of the apprenticeship is learning and acquiring knowledge and skills, which then you're able to apply in your service area to see a significant change. Seeing first hand the positive impact of your work is extremely pleasing.
I have learnt a great deal of knowledge in all areas from leading, managing, communicating, decision making, prioritising, project management. This has allowed me to meet the needs of my service.
Upon starting the apprenticeship I was in the role of a Finance Protection Officer, the Apprenticeship helped me to secure a permanent role as a Senior Finance Protection Officer. The apprenticeship has ignited a desire in me to undertake as much learning as possible.
I 100% recommend the apprenticeship, it's a great way to learn and grow in your chosen area. It allows you to apply the academic knowledge you are acquiring and first hand witness the benefits.
