Skills Academy is a 10-week programme aimed at helping Care Leavers to become work-ready.

What it involves:

• Option for continuous study
• Opportunities to complete online qualifications
• Wrap-around support on completion

• Presentation and communication skills
• CV writing
• Cover letter writing
• Completing application forms
• Skills and attributes
• Personal safety
• Health and safety
• Understanding your pay

Continuous Study Options:

• L1 NCFE Customer Service and Business Administration
• L3 Certificate in Data & Functional Skills

Online Qualifications:

• Can be chosen according to your interests
• A wide range of topics available including:
  • Health & Social Care
  • Skills for Employment in the Construction Industries
  • Introduction to Safeguarding
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Equality and Diversity
  • Work Preparation
