MathsFunctional Skills Maths Level: Entry 1 to level 2 Duration: 30-60 hours
Functional skills qualifications allow our learners to gain confidence and fluency in their mathematics and to improve their numeracy skills. A level 2 qualification is the equivalent of a good pass at GCSE.
You should consider this course if you are looking for a maths qualification for work. If you didn’t achieve a GCSE in mathematics, then a functional skills qualification is an equivalent that focuses on the skills needed in work.
Functional Skills Maths are qualifications that enable learners to use maths in the real world and for further education or employment. They cover basic maths knowledge and skills such as data handling and using measurements. Learners can achieve different levels of Functional Skills from Entry Level to Level 2, as below:
Foundation: (Entry 1 and 2)
- Improve your maths skills and confidence
Intermediate: (Entry 3 – Level 1)
- Improve your number skills
- Develop your knowledge of shape and measure
- Improve your knowledge of data handling
Move on: (Level 2)
- Further develop your maths skills for life and work
