Everyday Spoken English (ESOL)     Duration: 20 hours

For adults whose first language is not English and want to gain a national certificate. Courses are delivered in person in a classroom setting. You will work on improving your speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, punctuation and spelling skills for everyday use in life and work. You will learn new vocabulary and grammar and work on improving your speaking and listening skills so that by the end of the course you are able to communicate accurately and fluently in everyday situations.

  • Job roles, skills and qualities
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Communicating with schools
  • Making an appointment

This is an ideal course to progress from Start to Speak English.  Here you will:

  • Learn to use effective body language
  • Learn to be a good listener and ask open questions
  • Learn how to make your point and express opinions
  • How to keep safe when communicating via the internet (chat rooms, websites etc.)
