Looking to build confidence and progress into an administration or office support role? The Digital Business Operations & Office Skills course offers a practical and supportive route into office-based work, helping you develop the skills and knowledge used every day in modern workplaces.

This course is ideal for people who want to start, return to, or progress within an office environment, including business, public sector and third sector settings.

What the course offers

You will gain hands-on experience in key office systems, digital tools and professional communication, building the confidence needed to work effectively in a business administration environment. Learning is practical, interactive and designed to reflect real workplace tasks.

Throughout the course, you will develop an understanding of professional standards, organisation, and communication, helping you feel prepared for the expectations of an office-based role.

Note: This non‑accredited course has been mapped against the learning outcomes of City & Guilds Business Administration and IT User qualifications (Levels 2 and 3), helping learners understand the level and relevance of the skills they will gain.

 

Who the course is for

This course is fully funded and suitable for learners who are:

  • Aged 19 or over
  • Looking for office-based work or a career change into administration
  • Employed, unemployed, or returning to work
  • Able to commit to 80 guided learning hours (1 day per week for 10 weeks)
  • Competent in English Language and ICT to minimum Level 1 standard

The course is delivered at our city centre premises, conveniently located just five minutes from bus and rail stations.
